Custom Doors Built, Hung and Trimmed
Arched entries, stained interior doors and full door packages built or hung with the casing, hardware and reveals detailed to match.

A door is a moving part in a fixed opening
Doors are judged by feel as much as by looks. Even reveals down the hinge and strike sides, a consistent gap at the head and a door that stays where you leave it all come from careful hanging.
On entries, the door, the casing and the surrounding woodwork have to read as one architectural element rather than three separate purchases.
How we approach it
Entry units are built to the opening with the swing, threshold and weather detail worked out before install.
Interior packages are hung so reveals stay even and doors latch the first time.
What we do
- Arched and radius entry doors
- Solid hardwood and mahogany units
- Interior door packages and hanging
- Barn doors and sliding hardware

Why Blue Ridge Carpenters for this work
Comfortable with complex work
Curves, odd angles, out-of-square walls and one-off details are normal work for us rather than a reason to simplify the design.
Precision as the standard
Layout is set on site from real measurements, and joints, reveals and lines are held consistent from the first piece to the last.
European-trained craftsmanship
Our crew is European-trained and has been building in the United States for more than five years, working to a finish standard that holds up under close inspection.

Common questions
Do you build doors as well as install them?
We build custom doors, including arched entries, and we also hang doors supplied by the client or builder.
Can you replace doors without replacing the trim?
Sometimes. It depends on the existing jambs and openings, which we check on site first.
Do you work with homeowners, builders and design professionals on custom doors?
Yes. We work directly with homeowners and also as a finish carpentry partner for builders, general contractors, architects and interior designers.
Can you work from drawings or a design we already have?
Yes. If you already have plans, elevations or reference images, we build to them and flag anything that won't work against the real conditions on site.
