Exterior Woodwork Built for Mountain Weather
Decks, porches, railings, soffits and exterior trim built with the detailing and finish standard we use indoors, on structures that live outside.

Outside, detailing is what determines how long it lasts
Exterior woodwork moves with the weather. Spacing, fastening and how water leaves the structure matter as much as how the finished deck or porch looks on the day it's done.
Mountain sites bring slopes, changing levels and long sight lines, so railing runs, stair transitions and soffit lines have to be resolved to look intentional from the yard as well as from the deck.
How we approach it
Framing, flashing and fastener choices matter more outside than in. We detail exterior work so water leaves the structure instead of sitting in a joint.
Porch ceilings, beams and rails are built to the same standard as interior millwork.

Common questions
Do you build porch ceilings and soffits as well as decks?
Yes — T&G porch ceilings, soffits and exterior trim are part of the same scope.
Can you work on steep or difficult mountain sites?
Yes. Sloped, tight and awkward sites are common here and normal for our crew.
Do you work with homeowners, builders and design professionals on exterior woodworking?
Yes. We work directly with homeowners and also as a finish carpentry partner for builders, general contractors, architects and interior designers.
Can you work from drawings or a design we already have?
Yes. If you already have plans, elevations or reference images, we build to them and flag anything that won't work against the real conditions on site.
